During the construction of the Magnitogorsk plant of prefabricated housing construction (begun in 1953.) The accumulated experience of designing, manufacturing structures and installation of large -panel buildings was taken into account.
The creation of this plant, which took place, respectively by the Decree and the Council of Ministers “On the development of the production of prefabricated reinforced concrete structures and parts for construction”, laid the foundation for the organization of a new, more advanced base of the Magnitostroy trust. The power of the plant was determined by the production of large panels for 30 thousand. Z2 living space and production for the same amount of living space of prefabricated internal structures for houses with walls of brick and bentonite stone. The plant came into operation in 1958.. It has a developed structure and a fairly rational technological scheme based on a bench and cassette methods for the production of panels. A significant event was the creation of the first experimental thermosite unit with a capacity of up to 50 m3 of thermositis per day at the fifth blast furnace. With the use of this concrete aggregate, prefabricated celebrations of residential buildings were made; The volumetric weight of thermositon concrete then reached 1,800-1 900 kg/m3.
The magnetostroevians were the first to master the technology of building large -panel houses of frameless structure. However, this construction for a long time did not go beyond the experimental. Even after starting the plants of large panels and blocks, the proportion of prefabricated housing construction was still small. In 1958.
