In September 2024, VK Video launched a new monetization program that uses the Revenue Share model. Under it, authors receive from 50 to 80% of advertising revenue.
What happened. The VK Video team summed up the results of the first two months of the program. The average income of authors participating in monetization increased by 2.5 times, the company’s press service reported. The total number of participants reached 81,000.
The daily volume of uploaded content increased by 20%, and the total viewing time increased by 26%.
The maximum payment to the author in October exceeded 1 million rubles. The VK team recorded the greatest growth in the categories “Family Content”, “Creativity”, “Cars” and “Cooking”.
