Igor Prudnikov, CEO of the Eurasian Association of Heating Systems Market, told Kommersant that since November 12, the customs service began requesting licenses from suppliers of air conditioners, refrigerators, and other equipment with R-410 freon — this stopped some supplies of such products.

According to Prudnikov, since autumn, suppliers have been required to provide licenses from the Ministry of Industry and Trade to import equipment with the corresponding mixture in its composition.
What happened. Refrigerators and air conditioners with R-410 freon can be imported into Russia without permits, the Federal Customs Service reported. The Ministry of Natural Resources also previously stated that they had not introduced a new restriction on imports, and the list of substances prohibited for import was approved back in 2016.
